So much information is being posted. I thought it would be a good idea to put the donation opportunities in one place. Â If you have another donation opportunity you would like posted here, please send me an email jennifer@virtuallyjennifer.com.
Dear Friends,
Earlier today, I learned that my friend’s first grade daughter in Sandy Hook has lost half of her Daisy Troop to the tragedy at SHES on Friday. Â Half. Â Incomprehensible.
As I returned home from Natalie’s Brownie Holiday Party this afternoon, I found the below information from the Girl Scout Council of Connecticut in my inbox.

Dear Girl Scout family:
Girl Scouts of Connecticut is saddened to learn that eight Girl Scout Daisies and sons of two Girl Scout families have died as a result of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We are devastated by these losses and will keep the families in our hearts.
Many of you have asked what you can do to help. Currently, we are planning a memorial service with the Newtown Service Unit in mid-January. At that time, we will be presenting thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes on trefoil art. If you or any of your troops would like to participate, please send these trefoils to our Hartford Service Center, c/o Trefoil Project, 340 Washington St. Hartford, CT 06106.
Further down the road, we are considering constructing a memorial at a local Girl Scout camp in honor of our lost ones. Please continue to check our website and Facebook page for updates as to how you can help support these efforts.
For those of you who work directly with girls as either a parent or a volunteer, we have compiled a list of resources on our website to assist in discussing this tragedy with children and helping with the healing process.
Thank you for your support during this especially trying time.
